JUSTICE: SELECTIVE JUSTICE, A BANE TO EQUALITY!

NANS factional President jailed 12 years for collecting N500, 000 under pretense.
Country people, yesterday, Justice O.A Adeniyi of Federal High Court sitting in Abuja sentenced a former Factional President of the National Association of Nigerian Students, NANS, Comrade Ibiloma Abdullhi to 12 years imprisonment without an option of fine for collecting N500, 000 under pretense from Alhaji Sanni Lulu, former President, Nigerian Football Federation-Impersonation.
Ebilomoa ran a faction as NANS President with Comrade Babale in 2009. The Kano State born Babale is presently a member of the Federal House of Representatives.
Babale and his group kidnapped Ebiloma in 2009 and handed him over to EFCC for prosecution.
Ebiloma and Babale both contested for NANS Presidency in 2009.
According to most Nigerian Students, Babale won the 2009 election but Ibiloma did not accept defeat, prompting him to ran a faction with Babale.
Ebiloma was accused of paying a courtesy visit to Bauchi State Governor, Isa Yuguda in 2009 as NANS President.
Ibiloma was also accused of forgery because he presented an identity card claiming to be a Student of FUTMINA whereas he has been rusticated from the institution.
The Registrar of FUTMINA came to court to testify against Ebiloma.
Succinctly, Ebiloma was jailed for 12 years for collecting N500, 000 under pretense-impersonation. He was jailed for impersonating as NANS President and as a Student of FUT-MINNA.
Fellow Nigerians, may I ask that were Nigerian Laws made only for the Poor? I concur that Ebiloma was guilty as charged, but why would the same court that sentenced Maina of Police Pension that stole N2.6bn to 2 years imprisonment with an option of fine of N750, 000 jailed the poor Ibiloma for 12 years for collecting N500, 000 under pretense?
What's the interest of EFCC in this case? The same court sentenced Cecilia Ibru, Tafa Balogun, Alameisghia, igbinedon etc to 6 months imprisonment despite the billions of the tax-payers' money they stole. The judgment of Justice Adeniyi was just too harsh. Haba!
There have been factions in NANS for long. Ibiloma was not the first and the last to run faction in NANS.
I also put it to the petitioner, Comrade Babale that he stole NANS money. He used Nigerian Students to enriched himself. The petitioner left NANS presidency to contest for House of Reps in Kano and won.
The judgment of Justice Adeniyi was too harsh. The verdict is questionable. Ibiloma was rusticated from FUTMINA, not expelled. He was rusticated along side Egghead Odewale, Dan Onje, etc for fighting for the students of FUTMINA over lack of water, power supply and most importantly, 300% increment of their school fee. Ibiloma is now on his own.
Once again, I agree that Ibiloma was guilty of impersonation because he didn't win the election, Babale won, but the judgment was just too harsh.
If Ibiloma could bag a-10year jail term for impersonating, I wish to ask from the Nigerian authorities of when Governor Jonah Jang of Plateau State would be charged to court for impersonating Governor Amaechi of Rivers State as the Chairman of the Nigerian Governors' Forum?
I call on the Civil Societies, the Activists, the Media, NGOs, the Students etc to rise up against Justice Adeniyi of Abuja Federal High Court. This is travesty of justice. ...Kogi State born Ibiloma jailed 12 years without an option of fine because of N500, 000? I perceived the hands of Esua and Jacob in the case.
The likes of Maina, Ibru, Igbenedon, Tafa Balogun, Alamesghia were super-made human beings? Chai...dia ris God ooooooo!
